To arrive at the place by subway, the best for those coming from downtown or south area, is to take the orange line going to Saens Pena direction, get out at the São Francisco Xavier station, and then take the "Intergração Expressa" (Express Integration) to Vila Isabel, for that you *must* buy the ticket Subway + Express Bus (Metrô + Ônibus Expresso) it cost R$3,40 Reais for the whole trip.

    • Bus

[this tips are recommended for Brazilians]

Take any bus that has it's last station in the street 28 de Setembro (it is a square I will put the name of it later). Get out in this station, look for the street Torres Homem e and be aware!, is right at the beginning of it! ;)

  1. Who is coming from the North Area by bus, all you need to do is get out at the Shopping Iguatemi, on the street Rua Teodoro da Silva.
  1. Who is coming from the South Area, you just need to get out at the last stop of the Rua 28 de Setembro.

    • Taxi

When you take a cab/taxi, try to use the ones from coops, they have a table of prices and normally don't charge more for your bags, in the contrary of the 'independent' taxis tat still tons of money from anyone, specially if you are from outside of the country, they have very high prices!

Keep it simple and straight:
"I want to go to Rua Torres Homem, number 790, in Vila Isabel"
"Quero ir para a Rua Torres Homem, número 790, em Vila Isabel"
